Company Background
 

Here at Winstanley Windows, Robert has been in the Glass & Glazing industry since 1977. Starting as a trainee at a well known Folkestone glass company, after leaving school, he was taught all aspects of the industry from glass cutting to fitting shop fronts. From here he moved to another well known, at the time, uPVC window manufacturing company where he fitted windows, doors and conservatories for over 10 years; during which time he also obtained a City & Guilds in Carpentry.

In 1993 Robert set out on his own, initially working for himself, Robert covered the selling, surveying and installation process of the business. “Recommended by Reputation” soon meant that the company saw rapid growth. The workforce grew swiftly and now boasts teams of employed fitters, a separate glazing division and full time service department. Many of the staff have been at Winstanley Windows since just after the outset; with some starting as young lads who are now out and about as team leaders.

Covering most areas of Kent, East Sussex and certain areas of Outer London our fully trained and highly expert team of fitters offer both peace of mind and professional customer service when installing and completing your home improvement project.

Staff Training
 

Our continuous staff training programme has provided our employed staff with the key skills and knowledge required to safely and competently carry out their work. All employees are qualified to a  minimum NVQ Level 3 with plans currently in place to upgrade to NVQ Level 4. With various Health & Safety training days scheduled throughout the year, to ensure current legislation and standards are  adhered to, our fitters also train in Job Risk Assessment and First Aid.

With our entire on site workforce holding current CSCS cards (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) they have had to demonstrate their occupational competence and have passed the Construction Skills Health and Safety Environment Test. This ensures our qualified team of fitters are proficient to work on building sites for commercial developments and refurbishments.

Guarantees & Warranties

Winstanley Windows value you as a customer; we care about the quality of our workmanship and our good reputation. Under the terms and conditions of your guarantee, we will be at your service as follows:

1. uPVC Windows and Doors.
Within a 10 year period from the date of purchase of any manufactured uPVC windows and doors, we shall replace free of charge, any products which to our reasonable satisfaction prove to be defective as a result of extrusion process or manufacturing fault. The product has not been subject to abuse or malicious damage after installation. This guarantee excludes claims for damages or consequential loss. Installation by Winstanley Windows is also covered under this guarantee.

2. Double Glazed Sealed Units.
Within a 10 year period (for the "A" rated glass units in our uPVC windows and doors) from date of purchase of any manufactured double glazed sealed unit we shall replace free of charge any products which to our reasonable satisfaction prove to be defective as a result of unit failure. This guarantee excludes claims for damage or consequential loss.

3. Ironmongery.
Within a 5 year period from date of purchase of any ironmongery, we shall replace free of charge, any product which to our reasonable satisfaction prove to be defective as a result of unit failure. This guarantee excludes claims for damages or consequential loss.

Please note: Ironmongery should and will last longer if regularly lubricated, as explained on our post installation care sheet provided with your guarantee.

 

4. Trade DIY Frames.
All frames are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of purchase.

5. Fascia & Soffit Boards, Cladding etc.
Fascias, Soffits and Cladding are guaranteed for 10 years, if fitted by us, against discolouration.
