A low-emissivity, or Low-E, coating is a very thin, transparent layer applied to the glass to reduce the amount of energy (radiant heat and ultraviolet rays) that passes through the window. That helps to save energy and reduce fading of room furnishings.
There are many types of Low-E glass on the market and in order to achieve a higher WER rating we will be switching to soft coat glass, which performs better than K glass. In order to achieve an A rated product we have to introduce a low iron product.
